Trump says he will not invite South Africa to participate in next year’s G20 Summit at his Doral golf course and will suspend all payments and subsidies to the country “effective immediately.”
“At the conclusion of the G20, South Africa refused to hand over the G20 presidency to a senior representative of our US embassy, who attended the closing ceremony. Therefore, per my instructions, South Africa will NOT receive an invitation to the 2026 G20, which will be held in the great city of Miami, Florida, next year,” Trump posted on his social media platform.

Trump refused to attend or send a US official to this year’s G20 summit in South Africa as he continues to amplify claims that targeted killings of white Afrikaners have occurred in the region.
