London – Thousands of people were evacuated from the city center of Dresde de Germany Eastern Wednesday, since the authorities there were preparing to detonate a bomb of the Second World War discovered near one of the bridges covered by the Elbe River.
The 550 British manufacturing pump was discovered during the authorization work at the Carola bridge, the Department of Application of the Polizei Law, the Department of Application of the Law that covers the Saxony region in East of Germany, said in a statement issued on Tuesday.
“It is equipped with a detonator and must be deactivated on the site,” the statement said. “An evacuation area is planned with a radius of approximately 1,000 meters around the pump site.”

It was planned that the evacuation area was authorized from all people at 9 am local time – 3 am et – Wednesday, police said.
“Emergency services are now beginning to control the restricted area,” police wrote at an early X -X -year -old on Wednesday. “As soon as there are no more people in the area, deactivity operations will begin.”
The ammunition of the Era of World War II of World War II are discovered regularly in the main cities of Germany, a legacy of the bombing campaigns released against the country by the allied forces during the conflict.
In June, some 20,000 people were evacuated from the city of colony of West Germany after the discovery of three unimported bombs of World War II there. The evacuation in Colonia was the largest recorded since the end of the conflict.
