The cause of death of the WWE Hulk Hogan star was revealed

Former WWE wrestling star Hulk HoganThe cause of death has been revealed, a week after his death at 71.

Emergency officials in the hometown of Hogan, Clearwater, Florida, responded to a cardiac arrest call just before 10 am on July 24 and took Hogan to the Morton Plant hospital, where he was declared dead, according to the police.

The death of the wrestling icon was confirmed by the police in Clearwater and World Wrestling Entertainment.

“WWE saddens the member of the WWE Hall of Fame, Hulk Hogan, died,” the company said in a statement on July 24. “One of the most recognizable figures of pop culture, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends his condolences to the family, friends and fans of Hogan.”

Hogan’s family also shared a statement after his death, writing on social networks: “It is with a heavy heart and a deep sadness that we confirm that we have lost a legend.”

“That we all have comfort in the wonderful memories left for the millions of fans worldwide whose lives played for more than four decades,” the statement continued.

Hogan began his professional wrestling career in 1977 and appeared prominently in the World Fight Federation (now known as WWE), World Championship Wrestling and Impact Wrestling.

Through his career with WWE, Hogan is widely accredited for helping to convert the professional struggle of a regional attraction to a conventional phenomenon in the 1980s.

In addition to his wife, with whom he married in 2023, Hogan survives two children, his daughter Brooke and a Nick son.
