Firefighters were fighting a fire in a Chevron refinery in southern California on Thursday night, company officials and government said, after a mass fire ball burst into the facilities.
It was not clear immediately what the fire caused, which was burning in the second, a city in Los Angeles County.
“All refinery staff and contractors have been counted and there are no injuries,” said Allison Cook, Chevron spokesman, ABC News.

Governor Gavin Newsom was informed about the fire, said his office.
“Our office is coordinating in real time with local and state agencies to protect the surrounding community and guarantee public safety,” said the office in A statement.
The extensive refinery, which is just south of the Los Angeles International Airport, has its own fire department on the site, according to its website. Chevron’s firefighters joined the emergency personnel of El Segundo and Manhattan Beach to respond to the “isolated” fire inside the installation, said Chevron spokesman.

“Evacuation orders have not been established for the residents of the area by emergency response agencies that monitor the incident, and the fence’s line monitoring system has not detected overcoming,” said the spokesman.
The mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, said she had been informed about the fire. He also said he had spoken with Holly J. Mitchell, the supervisor who represents the second.
“LAFD is ready to help with any request for mutual help. There is no known impact on Lax at this time,” Bass, Bass saying In social networks. “We will continue to monitor this situation.”

A shelter order was issued in the 3 -hour place for areas within the Manhattan Beach tree section, according to Alert Southbay. “It brings all people and pets indoors,” the alert said.
