Defensor lawyers interrogated Kerry Morgan about why he has not revived their friendship with Cassie Ventura since its last meeting in 2018.
“Draw the physical abuse line,” Morgan testified. “The reason I stopped talking to her was that he did not support me after that incident”, referring to the alleged assault of Combs to Morgan.
Morgan testified earlier on the day that combs allegedly caused her to have a brain shock after she told the jury that she threw a wooden hanger in the house of Ventura in 2018. Morgan testified that she received $ 30,000 of the combs after threatening a lawsuit on the alleged incident.

“I didn’t demand money from anyone. She offered it,” Morgan testified, referring to Ventura. “The money did not come from her. It was the intermediate” for the combs, Morgan said to the Court.
Morgan testified that Ventura offered him the money to sign a NDA or a non -dissemination agreement. “That was essentially to close the case. You cannot sue anyone or say anything public about it,” Morgan claimed.
“And you still became friend?” Defense lawyer Marc Agnifilo asked, referring to Ventura.
“She hasn’t contacted me yet,” Morgan replied. “I’m sure it doesn’t have the same phone number.”
Much of Morgan’s defense interrogation focused on jealousy, trying to reinforce the affirmation of the defense that combs became violent so as not to force women to sex but to jealousy and drugs.
Agnifilo showed Morgan an exchange of text in which he sent to comb a long “statement” that Agnifilo said he was written by an author who writes about self -esteem.
“Did you think Mr. Combs did not love himself?” Agnifilo asked Morgan.
“Sometimes it seemed not to do it,” Morgan testified.
Upon directing, prosecutor Meredith Foster argued that jealousy was not part of any of the alleged assaults on Cassie Ventura that Morgan said in prior testimony to have witnessed.
Referring to the alleged assaults in Los Angeles and Jamaica, Foster asked Morgan: “Before that, what argument, if anyone, did you hear about jealousy?”
Morgan replied: “None.”
Morgan’s testimony has concluded.
David James, a former personal assistant of Comongs, is the next witness.
