Michigan Sud Capilla Mass Shooting: What we know about the victims

Four people died and another eight were injured in a massive shooting and a fire during worship services in a Church of Jesus Christ in the Chapel of the last days in Grand Blanc, Michigan, Sunday.

“We regret with our members who have lost their loved ones, and we join the prayer for comfort with others worldwide suffering from similar tragedies,” said Dallin H. Oaks, president of the quorum of the twelve apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Saints of recent days, in a statement.

“We all look for answers and understanding following trauma, shock and pain. We are grateful to all those who are reaching the service, prayers and words of support during this difficult time,” Oaks said.

John Bond

John Bond, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, was one of the four people killed in the shooting, his family confirmed to ABC News.

A nine -year -old veteran from the United States Navy, Bond was a “known and beloved member of his family and active in his community,” said his family.

He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, playing golf and investigating trains, they said.
