A woman accused of leaks of large jury material related to the murder case of Karen Read declared guilty, the Department of Justice said Tuesday.
Jessica Leslie, 34, declared himself guilty in a Federal Court of Boston on Monday for a position of criminal contempt that accused her of deliberately disobeying the rules of the Court against the dissemination of the Great Jury’s information, the Department of Justice said.
Leslie had served in the Grand Jury as part of Read investigation, who was finally acquitted of murder in the death of her boyfriend in 2022.
Federal prosecutors said that between August 11, 2022 and March 4, 2024, Leslie revealed “sealed information to unauthorized persons, including the names of several witnesses that appear before a Grand Federal Jury, the substance of the testimony of witnesses and other evidence presented to the Grand Jury.”
Leslie agreed to an imprisonment for one day, considered attended and 24 months of supervised liberation, according to judicial records. His sentence has been scheduled for September 26.

While the loading document did not specify that Leslie was a large jury in the case of reading, the sources confirmed the case to ABC News.
Federal prosecutors did not say how they learned that Leslie had revealed the secret information of the Grand Jury, but the sources said the authorities had been monitoring the accounts of social networks and other communications during a case that received generalized attention.
Reading was originally accused by a Grand Jury of Boston in June 2022 in the death of his official police boyfriend John O’Keefe. The prosecutors alleged that the reading hit O’Keefe with his car outside the house of a police partner after an excessive consumption of alcohol consumption in January 2022 and then left him to die there during a large snowstorm.
The first trial ended in a null trial last year after the jury could not reach a unanimous verdict.
In a second trial that ended in June, Read was declared not guilty of the most serious charges against it: murder, homicide and abandonment of the scene after an accident. It was convicted of operating under the influence of the liquor and sentenced to a year of probation.
