A flight from Breeze Airways went to Los Angeles deviated to an airport in Colorado after a rebel passenger who waved a skateboard altered with hostesses and other passengers and freed himself twice from his restrictions, according to the airline and local authorities.
Breeze Airways Flight 704, which took off from Norfolk, Virginia, at 9:17 am on Wednesday, landed at Grand Junction, Colorado.
The Grand Junction Police Department said in a statement that he responded to the airport around 11:15 am local time after receiving a report that a “poisoned male passenger stirred, shouting racist insults to the airline staff while stirring a skateboard. The airline staff put man in restrictions twice, but could be released twice.”
The airline, citing crew reports that were aboard the flight, said there was a physical altercation that resulted in minor wounds for a passenger and a hostess.

However, the police said no assault reports or passenger injuries or police flight crew were made.
After the plane landed in Colorado, the passenger was arrested by the Grand Junction Police in the FBI direction and taken to the table county detention center.
Airlines have reported more than 1,000 incidents involving rebel passengers so far in 2025, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
