At least 18 dead, dozens wounded as severe storms reached multiple states

At least 18 people are dead after the severe climate hit parts of Missouri, Texas and Arkansas during the night, authorities said.

Eleven deaths related to the storm were reported in the Missouri counties of Ozark, Butler, Wayne and Jefferson, said the state road patrol. Three people were confirmed dead in Independence County, Arkansas, said the State Emergency Management Division.

Four were reported dead in Texas, authorities said on Saturday.

At least 29 people were injured in Eight County County, said state emergency officials.
