Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney will meet Trump while tensions for the commercial warfare continue

President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, will meet Tuesday at the White House in the midst of the commercial war between neighboring nations.

In July, Trump imposed a 35% tariff on most of the raw materials from Canada.

Canada originally issued retaliation tariffs. However, in August, Carney announced exemptions for the goods covered by the commercial pact between the United States, Mexico and Canada.

During his last meeting in May, Carney rejected Trump’s controversial proposal to turn Canada into state number 51.

“As you know for the real estate sector, there are some places that are not for sale. And Canada is not on sale, it will never be on sale,” Carney told Trump.
