Once Tamura entered 345 Park Avenue, the surveillance video “Eerie” captured him allowing a woman to leave the elevator, preventing him from shooting her, said the mayor of New York City, Eric Adams.
“He allowed him to go through him without any action,” Adams told CNN, but Tamura “shot one of the security guards behind the desk.”
At the end of the Tamura fuss, Tamura died for suicide in the offices of the Rudin administration, on the 33rd floor of the building, authorities said.
“It seems that I was going after NFL employees,” Adams said in Fox 5.

The gunman left bullet holes on a large NFL crest on the wall by one of the elevator banks.
It seemed that Tamura “led the elevator bank wrong to the NFL headquarters,” Adams told CBS. “Instead, he took him to Rudin’s management, and that is where he made additional shootings and took the lives of additional employees.”
Four people were killed. Three have been identified: a security guard for the building; a Blackstone executive who was a wife and mother; and a police officer who was the father of two children with a third party. The fourth worked at Rudin Management, but has not been appointed, according to family wishes.

The shooter’s note
A page of the note found in Tamura’s pocket accused the NFL of hiding the dangers of players’ brains to play football to maximize profits, fountains said.
A second page mentioned CTE and blamed football. A third page asked: “Study my brain please. I’m sorry,” the fountains said.

CTE, or chronic traumatic encephalopathy, is a brain -related brain disease related in the head, often seen in veterans and military athletes, including soccer players, hockey players and boxers. CTE cannot be diagnosed in a living person with certainty, but doctors can suspect depending on the symptoms and history of trauma in the head. Symptoms include memory loss, mood changes, confusion and problems to think clearly.
Tamura, 27, played high school football in Los Angeles, but did not play professionally. The police have not found evidence that he has suffered a traumatic brain injury or had CTE, the sources said, and has no known connection with the NFL. Tamura’s brain will be examined as part of his autopsy, said the main forensic doctor’s office in New York City.

Weapons
In Monday’s shooting, Tamura used a Semiautomatic State PA-15 rifle from the M4-style palmetto state equipped with a scope and a barrel flashlight, they told ABC News to ABC News.
The M4 style weapon is similar to the AR-15 assault rifle and similar to high-power firearms widely used by the US army in combat and training. Although the military version of the M4 can be used as an automatic weapon, civil guns are legally prohibited because they are automatic, so M4 -style weapons sold to civilians are almost always semi -automatic.
In Tamura’s car at the time of the attack there was a loaded Colt Python .357 revolver, ammunition, medications and two cell phones, the sources said.
