Malcolm-Jamal Warner The police have released the cause of death.
The actor, better known for his role as Theo Huxtable in the successful television comedy “The Cosby Show”, died on Sunday off the coast of Costa Rica after an ABC News drowning to ABC News. He was 54 years old.
Police told ABC News on Tuesday that an autopsy has been completed in Warner. The Forensic Pathology Department said the autopsy confirmed that Warner’s death, which was described as immersion suffocation, was accidental.

Warner’s body arrived in San Joaquín de Flores on Monday at 4:30 pm local time. An autopsy was performed and completed on Tuesday.
Police told ABC News that Warner died near Cocles, a beach in Limón, Costa Rica, after being caught by a current RIP on Sunday afternoon, police said. The spectators rescued him and took him to the coast, where he received treatment before being declared dead by the Costa Rica Red Cross, police said.
Warner was formally identified by the National Police of Costa Rica, who described him as a tourist.
